The Review:
Another free Amazon Kindle Edition book!
For me, any well-tailored diet should start with an understanding of your psychological state of mind. (PMID: 28418818, 8803365, 31970912, 22023231, 15655039)
Publisher’s Synopsis:
If you struggle with binge eating, emotional eating, stress eating, or if you repeatedly manage to lose weight only to gain it all back, you may be approaching things with the wrong mindset.
Most contemporary thoughts on overeating and bingeing focuses on healing and self-love. But people who've overcome food addiction and weight issues often report it was more like capturing and caging a rabid dog than learning to love their inner child...
Open the cage even an inch—or show that dog an ounce of fear—and it'll quickly burst out to shred your healthy eating plans, undoing all your progress in a heartbeat.
From his perspective as a formerly food-obsessed psychologist—and previous consultant to major food manufacturers—Dr. Livingston shares specific techniques for isolating and permanently dis-empowering your “fat thinking self.” He reveals much of his own personal journey in the process.
If despite your best intentions you find yourself in one or more of the following situations then this book is for you...
You've tried diet after diet with no permanent success...
You constantly think about food and/or your weight...
You feel driven to eat when you're not hungry (emotional overeating)...
You sometimes feel you can't stop eating even though you're full...
You sometimes feel guilty or ashamed of what you've eaten...
You behave differently with food in private than you do when you're with other people...
You feel the need to fast and/or severely restrict your food to “make up” for serious bouts of overeating...
Never Binge Again can help you:
Dramatically improve your ability to stick to ANY healthy food plan so you can achieve your weight loss and/or fitness goals...
Quickly recover from mistakes without self-judgment or unnecessary guilt...
Free yourself from the prison of food obsession so you can enjoy a satisfying, delicious, and healthy diet for the rest of your life!

About the Author, GLENN LIVINGSTON, PHD; Author of Never Binge Again - How to Stop Overeating and Binge Eating and Stick to the Food Plan of Your Choice. CEO, Psy Tech, Inc.:
Dr. Glenn Livingston is the son of two therapists in a family of 20 psychologists, social workers, counselors, and therapists. Shortly after getting his Ph.D. (from Yeshiva University at the Einstein Medical Campus in New York City) Glenn built a 65 person practice in approximately eighteen months, and has now worked with well over 1,000 clients.
When people's symptoms resolved, he invited them into his coaching practice until, five years later, he was working almost entirely as a coach, and also directly supervising other coaches and therapists. But because he doesn't have children, thoroughly enjoys his work, and has never had to commute, Dr. Livingston launched a second career as a consultant, helping large companies like Whirlpool, Novartis, Bausch & Lomb, and Panasonic, evaluate psychological response to advertising.
His previous companies eventually sold more than $30,000,000, and along the way obtained publicity in major media like The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Sun Times, the NY Daily News, Crain's NY Business, The Milwaukee Business Journal, The Indiana Star Ledger, American Demographics, CBS & ABC Radio, Bloomberg Radio, WGN & UPN TV, and many, many more.
Later accomplishments include co-founding and developing a 21 person online marketing agency, and developing his own profitable publishing business.
My Review Summary:
Understanding your psychological state mind is but one of many pieces of the confounding diet puzzle that will intelligently lead you to form the lifelong health habits necessary towards becoming and staying Slim and Trim. If you are interested in developing a tailored weight loss plan to fit your perception of what well-being and happiness are, please schedule a free consultation. During the interview, I will ask you about your well being and use a tool called the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-Being Scale to determine how your external conditions (such as income, housing, and social networks) and internal resources (such as optimism, resilience, and self-esteem) will affect the success of my tailored diet plan. In other words, my goal is to determine what can be done to make you happy and satisfied, and hopefully you will achieve flourishing eudaimonia.
